Derek P. DissingerAssociate
Derek Dissinger is an associate with Russell, Krafft & Gruber, LLP, practicing in the areas of Banking and Finance, Real Estate (commercial and residential) and Business Law . Derek represents financial institutions and borrowers in commercial loan transactions by drafting and reviewing commercial loan documents, and by representing lenders in workouts and collections. He has a wide variety of commercial loan experience in various types of transactions, from acquisition loans and construction loans to various types of asset-based lending with unique collateral. Derek draws on his experience as a licensed title agent and counsel for various small businesses in carefully reviewing all due diligence items and protecting his client’s interest in the transaction.
Derek provides effective, insightful counsel on a broad spectrum of issues affecting his clients. He routinely helps businesses plan, start and maintain their organizations. Whether it is choosing the right entity, drafting organizational documents and contracts, or selling or purchasing a new business, Derek's goal is to help clients create and maintain an efficient business while complying with regulations and minimizing expense.
Derek also represents banks in court regarding collection of delinquent loans. He also drafted and negotiated an investment referral agreement with a publicly traded state-chartered bank. Derek is a licensed title agent with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and offers his financial institution clients the benefit of his real estate background in commercial loan transactions. He also represents commercial and residential landlords by drafting and reviewing leases and acts as a settlement agent for commercial and residential real estate settlements.
A native of Central Pennsylvania, Derek attended Cedar Crest High School in Lebanon and Lebanon Valley College in Annville. Derek is a summa cum laude graduate of Duquesne University School of Law where he served as an Associate Comment Editor for Duquesne's Law Review and received numerous academic awards. Derek broadened his expertise by receiving his MBA from The Pennsylvania State University. As an attorney, Derek has argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He has also been a speaker at multiple Lancaster County financial institutions and events on a variety of business and real estate topics. He is a member of the Manheim Rotary Club.
Derek resides in Manheim Township and is an avid sports fan.
